Product story
Quadriplegic's Grabber Tool was designed with and for Analy Perez, a designer who uses a wheelchair, with limited use of her hands, who wanted to manipulate small items.
The team developed the solution as part of the TOM Global Innovation Challenge (which they won the best documentation award 👏) and was led by:
Andrew Mouratis
Jeffrey Ebin
Jake Rynkiewicz
Quadriplegic's Grabber Tool is inexpensive, customizable, easy to attach when needed, and easy to store when finished. 3D printing and simple off-the-shelf hardware keep the costs low. Open source geometry allows for a community of users to create custom-made tools.
